...more than just a referral

business networking

Business Networking has seen a hugh influx of new businesses in the last year. It's a great way for start up businesses to make great contacts for both customers & suppliers in the first 2 or 3 years of business. It's fair to say it works for some business sectors better than others but the return on investment can be amazing.

We encourge every business owner to experiance a networking event and you will find our meetings less formal and more welcoming than others. It is important to bring lots of business cards with you. That may sound obvious but you'd be surprised how many people come along and forget to bring them.

You will have plenty of oportunity to talk about your business and you will find our members are keen to listen and learn all about you and what you bring to the meeting in terms of knowledge, talent, and skills.

If you are good at what you do you be amonst great company.

As for business referals, don't expect to trusted on your first visit. Business networking is about relationship building. It takes time and effort but once you trust those at the meeting you will find they trust you and before you know it they will be confidently introducing you to their clietns.

Select Tips for Better Networking:

Value your referrals. A referral  from a networking colleague must be regarded as a business opportunity waiting to happen.
Remember to bring your business cards! - Sounds Crazy doesn't it but I must confess I have forgotten my business cards in the past and more than once.   Now I keep a box in the car, another in the office on my desk, a spare box in the boot of the car and some in each of my jacket pockets. My dry cleaner defiantly knows who I am!
Our first tip is to book one to one meetings with each member in your group.
